I have always felt that the software would be easier for the user to navigate if he/she had the ability to increase the font size when desired

I agree!  And there is no setting to change it.  My suggestion is to use reading glasses or buy a bigger monitor!  In all fairness, it seems that way with several DAWs, including Logic Pro.
