Morgan Wallen recently released a double album, which is RARE these days for sure. I love albums, but it seems that streaming is changing the way we experience them (for the worse, in my opinion). It’s wild how far we’ve drifted from the human element in music. What used to take years of practice and real-world performance can now be done with a midi keyboard and a few plugins.

I remember when people first got their hands on DAWs—they’d program some MIDI loops and call it a masterpiece. Sure, it technically counts. But could they actually play it live? Doubt it.

Now everything’s pitch-perfect, locked to grid, polished to death. It sounds clean—but where’s the soul?

And now we’ve got AI spitting out entire tracks. No emotion, no life, just pattern-matching.

Use the tools, sure. Just don’t take credit for something you didn’t actually create.

Apparently bringing this up from the grave...Yes, I've played several Reverends, one of which was on loan from a friend...I believe it had Railhammer (sp?) pickups...sounded great. I've considered getting a Reeves Gabrels model in Orange! I've seen some videos on it, and it looks and sounds fabulous.

OK, I'll get it started...Tele's or Strats...go!

As a long-time user of Teles of all kinds, I've never bonded with any strat I've purchased... I've run through a number of them, all nice, but I always go back to my Tele's. Maybe you can share what you play and why. I know it's a tired topic, but this forum needs some action...

I love SUNO! It's fun to mess around and modify lyrics until my heart's content, but it's pricey for the PRO version...like $100 for the year, all upfront. I'd have to make a lot of songs and want the ownership rights, I think. Free version for me. As far as ethics go...I'm cool with just creating songs for myself. I use Ableton for my creations, and I'm not going to change. Real music for real people!

I'm a long-time user of Ableton Live Suite...v. 11. I'm fine using this version, but I know 12 has much to offer, but I'm not sure it's worth it. I'm thrilled working in session view most of the time, and I have so many of my plugins and synths. Does anyone believe I should bite the bullet? Let me know your thoughts! Convince me that I should save my money for something other than 12...like, wait for 13!!! HELP

I think they add some mojo; how much, I'm unsure. I remember when Waves came out with their BB Tubes plugin; pro mixers were drooling all over it in their ads... it seemed to be malarkey...Greg Wells was acting like the industry and his workflow had changed overnight. As with any plugin, use it if you like the way it sounds and if it improves your mix. A|B and see what it's doing.
